Poplarville "No Shave November"

Poplarville "No Shave November" Growing beards to help some local children with Christmas. A true community effort. Non denominational.

2012: Raised $1800 in donations and provided Christmas for 17 local children.
2013.:Raised $3000 and partnered with P.R.C.C.'s toy drive, and First Baptist Church of Poplarville and were able to provide Christmas for 56 local Children.
2014: We raised $3517 and partnered with PRCC's toy drive & First Baptist Church of Poplarville to provide for 82 local children.
2015 $2641 raised and partnerin

g with PRCC & 1st Baptist Poplarville helped 73 local children.
2016 Raised $1794 and partnered with !st Baptist and PRCC to help 68 children.
2017 Once again partnering with Pearl River Community College for the campus wide toy drive and The Baptist Student Union to organize and distribute.

Attention Poplarville No Shavers!!!

November is less than a week away. Times are hard, and the children of our community need us now more than ever. Anyone wanting to participate, please send a private message to this page, B.J. Mizell, or Katrina Lewis Mizell.

We will respond to messages with details for this year’s No Shave campaign and add you to our list of volunteers.

If anyone is unable to participate, you can still assist by liking and sharing our content.

Last minute plea for donations. If you have pledged a no shaver, or would like to make a last minute donation, please turn in by the end of the day tomorrow. You can drop your cash or check donation by Bennie’s Auto Center, or message B.J. Mizell, or Katrina Lewis Mizell for other options.

With less than a week left to this years campaign, please consider adopting a beard from one of our no shavers.

You can pledge to donate by commenting under their photo. Your monotary donation can be given directly to the no shaver of your choice, to B.J. Mizell or to Katrina Lewis Mizell.

All proceeds will be handed off to The Baptist Student Union and will aid in providing Christmas gifts to local children in need.

Your donation is tax deductible if paying by check.

Calling all no shavers and beardly men. It’s that time of year again. The rules are pretty simple. Don’t shave, collect monetary donations and help children in need.

We are teamed up again with The Baptist Student Union. All proceeds will go directly to them. Their wonderful team will provide Christmas presents to local children in need.

All participants (the ones not shaving for the month) will have a meet up date in the first week of December (TBA) so, if you’re planning to get pledges, hang on to the funds for the meet up date.

If you’re someone who isn’t sponsoring a participant but want to make a donation, Bennies Auto in Poplarville has agreed to be our official drop off location. You can just run your donations in to the Quick L**e or Repair office.

Last but certainly not least we would like to thank those local businesses that made contributions to our cause. I did not have the time to ask every business, but the ones I did made a donation without hesitation. A special thanks goes out to Mr. Tom Odom at Sticky Sauce BBQ LLC,who not only made a donation, but allowed our No Shavers to meet for our count in and participated in our Adopt a beard campaign. Please show these businesses some love if you’re in need of their services as they have showed some love to our community.
