We got left off the Commodity calendar!

Recipe Day is tomorrow (9/15) from 1-3pm at the new commodities building kitchen. Same time, same place! Tomorrow we'll have some focaccia and focaccia pizza 🍕 Focaccia is a simple italian bread made with very few ingredients. If you're a beginner, this is perfect for you. If you don't like to knead bread, then this is even better! See you there 🍕🍕

Thank you to everyone who came to our Commodities Nutrition Education class today! Everyone left knowing more about how to create a balanced meal. We worked on some knife skills, created wonderful graze boxes, and learned how we can take the food we have available and create new things from it. The homemade bison summer sausage was a hit 😋 We hope to see even more faces at our next class!

What's Up Wednesday - Thursday Edition 'Return of the Cooking Class'

We've got another Commodity Nutrition Education Cooking Class headed your way! Registration is limited, so sign up while you can! This time we'll be building our own graze boxes and going over all the nutritional choices we can make to customize our boxes just for us. We'll be featuring our local honey and garden fresh produce, as well as home made jerky and other goodies that we can make at home. All supplies included, just bring your desire to learn!

Cooking classes are here!

We will be having our first one next Tuesday on June 28 2026 at 2 PM. We will be learning about nutrition education and how to cook bison wild rice meatballs. We'll be using fresh produce from the tribal community garden. The class will be located in the upstairs classroom at the new commodities building in Poplar.
