It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to bring you all an update. Billie has sadly lost her long fight with cancer. On behalf of her friends and family, a very heartfelt THANK YOU, to each and every single person who helped her through her battle. All the phone calls, messages, txts, flowers, cards, it was all appreciated and meant the world to her. No act of kindness went unnoticed. We ask that everyone respect her family’s privacy during this difficult time. Again thank you all for the amazing support throughout this journey.

Good evening all! I did finally receive the shirts for the T-shirt sales for Jeff! Sorry for the delay as the T-shirt company got backed up with the tragedy at PC and was also trying to help support those families. None the less- they are in! If you ordered and chose to be picked up with Malerie you can shoot me a message or call my work m-f 8:30a-4:30p to schedule a pick up outside of normal business hours (815-842-1181). Thank you for all your support!

My schedule is ridiculously packed and I’m not able to commit the time solely to organize a benefit on my own and it be a success. If anyone is able to take lead on organizing the benefit I will most definitely help where I can! Please reach out to me if you’re able to help!

Hello everyone! 👋

I just wanted to do a quick update for all of you that supported Billie and to again say thank you! The love, the thoughts and prayers, and watching so many people come together for one cause was truly amazing! Billie has been continuing treatment at Illinois cancer and still goes to Mayo Clinic every 10 weeks to do ct scans, labs and to see the drs there. Billie is terminal so her care will continue indefinitely.

In case you did not know, Jeff, Billie’s husband, is now experiencing some health concerns.. a message from the Semmens’ family:

“Jeff was having some problems going to the bathroom we went to multiple drs who basically blew us off. I (Billie) then contacted a different dr and they ran tests and did a colonoscopy and found a mass and biopsy the mass and it came back as re**al cancer just like me. So we made appointments for Jeff at Mayo with the same dr that I go to. Plus others. Jeff had surgery to get a colostomy bag cause the tumor was blocking off his re**um. He just started chemo at the Illinois cancer care with Me. We have chemo dates every Wed.
We are living day by day and are excited to welcome out first grand baby”.

We now come together to race for the cure! 🏁💙

I will be posting soon tshirts that will be available for purchase. 100% of proceeds from this tshirt sale will go directly to Jeff and Billie! There is a scheduled event for Jeff that these shirts could be worn at! More details to follow on how you can show some more support and love to them!

OK!!! I think I finally got things organized!! Again THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH TO EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED OR DONATED!!!!!! Here is a list with approximate times for Basket Raffles! Obviously since we had soooo many amazing donations we can not do them all at the same time! We hope this helps!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!! (This does NOT included Silent Auction Items!!) Silent Auction Items will run from 1-4 pm.

Even if you are NOT having any signs or symptoms of being ill, Please DO NOT touch, hug, or kiss Billie -Family included (and this is coming straight from Billie) As much as we all want to just pick her up and squeeze her tight, we can't risk it! We truly hope you can understand and appreciate we are just doing all we can do to keep her safe 💙
