Our Ponte Vedra Community Association Inaugural 4th of July Golf Cart Community Parade for the 250th Independence Day of America was a spectacular success!!!

What a treat to see the community come together in style to celebrate this milestone holiday. A high highlight was our Grand Marshal, 100 year old OPV resident Ret WWII Corporal John Krehel, proudly leading the parade in his ‘63 red convertible Chevy wearing his Uncle Sam hat!!

About 40 golf carts, 50 bikes, several scooters, wagons, strollers, several dogs and Station 10s fire & rescue truck! 🚒

Congratulations to the winners of the most decorated golf carts: Most Patriotic (Powell Family), Best Golf Cart (Waugh Family), Best Dressed Dog (Chelsea Waugh), Best Scooters (Emory Jones with Runners up Bennett and Syndi Conk) and Best Bike (Augie Cook with Runner up Ben Shuck) 🥇🥇🥇

Thank you as well to our many local businesses who contributed prizes for the parade winners, including Sierra Grille, Turner Ace Hardware, Fresh Monkey, V Pizza, Foxtail Coffee, Pawgrass Pet Spa and Chubby’s.

Thank you to Deputy Sheriff Tedder, Commander Edendfield and Sergeant Marus’s to ensure a safe and fun parade!

What an incredible turn out - and we cannot WAIT to do it again next year!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
