On World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the people and organizations working every day to make care more accessible for those who need it most.

Today, we’re proud to feature WeCareJax, a valued Pink Ribbon Jax partner connecting uninsured Duval County residents with specialty medical care.

By bringing together physicians, hospitals, clinics, and community partners, WeCareJax helps remove barriers to needed specialty care.

Together, WeCareJax and Pink Ribbon Jax help ensure breast health is part of that continuum. Pink Ribbon Jax funds free breast imaging services—including screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, breast MRIs, and biopsies—for patients referred to us through WeCareJax.

We’re grateful for our partnership and for WeCareJax’s commitment to helping our neighbors access the healthcare they need.

In honor of National Relaxation Day, today’s BRAject Spotlight features Relax. Refresh. Restore. by Barbara Bendick.

21 years old. Uninsured. Lumps in both breasts. Too young to qualify for help.

When Ashley found lumps in both breasts, she knew she needed answers. But without insurance, and at just 21 years old, getting the care she needed wasn’t easy.

She reached out to several programs for help, only to learn she didn’t qualify because of her age. Then someone told her about Pink Ribbon Jax.

We helped Ashley understand what breast imaging she needed and made it possible for her to receive a breast ultrasound at no cost.

Her words remind us why access to care matters:
“For the first time in weeks, I felt like I could finally breathe.”

At Pink Ribbon Jax, there are no age or income restrictions. Every dollar raised stays right here in Northeast Florida, helping uninsured and underinsured women and men receive the life-saving breast imaging they need.

Because being 21 shouldn’t mean being too young to get the care you need.

Every donation to Pink Ribbon Jax helps fund life-saving breast imaging services for uninsured and underinsured women and men throughout Northeast Florida.

Unlike many programs, Pink Ribbon Jax has no age, income, or gender restrictions. If someone is uninsured or underinsured and needs breast imaging, we’re here to help.

Here’s what your generosity can fund:
💕 $150 funds a breast ultrasound
💕 $300 funds a screening mammogram
💕 $400 funds a diagnostic mammogram
💕 $500 helps fund a breast MRI
💕 $2,000 funds an average breast biopsy

Sometimes the first scan is just the beginning.

When additional imaging is needed, Pink Ribbon Jax is there—helping ensure financial barriers don’t stand between a patient and the answers they need.

Every dollar stays local, helping our neighbors receive the care they deserve and giving more families the priceless gift of early detection.

One conversation.
One reminder.
One monthly habit that could make all the difference.

Today is National Girlfriends Day and Feel It on the First, the perfect reminder that caring for the people we love sometimes starts with a simple text or conversation.

💕 “Have you done your breast-self exam this month?”
💕 “Don’t forget to schedule your mammogram.”
💕 “I’m making my appointment—want to make yours too?”

Breast self-awareness and regular screening save lives. And sometimes, the person who reminds you is the reason you take action.

Today, send this post to a girlfriend, sister, daughter, mom, or someone you love. It may be the gentle reminder she didn’t know she needed.

Doing nothing can be self-care.

Summer can feel so busy. Vacations. Family gatherings. Camps. Back-to-school prep.
In the middle of all the busyness, give yourself permission to simply be.

Take the nap.
Read the book.
Sit in the sunshine.
Listen to the breeze.
Breathe.
You don’t have to earn your rest.

Health isn’t only about appointments and screenings. It’s also about caring for yourself—body and mind. 💕
