It was an honor to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Dorion Family Pediatric Center this week.

The JT Townsend Foundation is grateful to stand alongside so many organizations, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who are dedicated to improving the lives of children and families across Northeast Florida.

The new pediatric center represents what can happen when a community comes together around a shared mission: providing hope, care, and support for children who need it most.

We’re super proud of our board member Nick Walker on this huge recognition from Episcopal School of Jacksonville!!!

Episcopal named Nick Walker, Class of 2010, as the 2026 Alumnus of the Year, recognizing his sustained commitment to the school community and his broader impact through service and leadership. Nick was recognized by The Rev. Adam Greene, Head of School, during the Reunion Weekend all-class party on April 24.

The Alumnus of the Year Award honors an Episcopal graduate who exemplifies outstanding service to the school—advancing its mission, success, and community well-being.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Their courage and selflessness gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day, and their legacy will never be forgotten. Today, we remember those heroes and the families who continue to carry their memory forward.

Today was a reminder of what community is all about. ❤️

The JT Townsend Foundation had the privilege of delivering new adaptive equipment to some incredible families, helping provide greater mobility, comfort, and independence for their children. Seeing the smiles, the relief, and the support from everyone involved is what keeps our mission moving forward.

Moments like these are only possible because of the generosity of our supporters, partners, and community who continue to believe in making a real difference for families navigating disability and special needs.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today happen. We’re honored to walk alongside these families and continue JT’s legacy of resilience, hope, and love.

We’re honored to see Episcopal School of Jacksonville continue celebrating his legacy through the JT Townsend Tenacity Award—recognizing a student who shows the same determination, resilience, and perseverance in both academics and athletics that JT embodied every day.
