Many Boys State Graduates have gone on to notable careers, they have been congressmen, senators, advisors, attorney generals, actors, journalist and even president of the US among other things... BUT on a greater scale it teaches the majority, those who do not pursue those 'notable' professions how the systems and process work which makes them responsible and educated voters!

Did you know...Neil Armstrong was a graduate of Boys State? He attended Missouri's program, and we all know what amazing things he has done for our country! Boys State is such a valuable program that the American Legion offers and it is paid for by help from our members and friends! We only need to get to $1500 to send 3 selected boys!

What if 15 people donated $100? or

Hello Friends! It is that time of year when we start the process of selecting 3 candidates for the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the 2022 Florida Boys State program. We need to raise $1500 to cover attendance and travel for all 3 candidates. American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students. A participatory program in which students become part of the operation of local, county, and state government, Boys State was founded in 1935 to counter the socialism-inspired Young Pioneer Camps.
