Ponchatoula American Legion Post 47 is very active in the local community and has many different resources to offer to help any and all Veterans and Active Duty Military with challenges that they face daily. Post 47 meets the first Thursday of each month from 1800-2000hrs (6-8pm). Our meeting will typically host a key guest speaker to educate everyone on such topics as suicide/substance abuse prev

ention, disability claims and benefits, service animals, VA healthcare options and benefits. Post 47 sponsors Boys and Girls State, Wreaths Across America, and many other great functions. ALL service members and Veterans can join, there is no prerequisite to be a member other than an Honorable Discharge. If you would like to be a part of a very active Post that helps ALL Veterans and Active Duty and truly make a difference, we welcome all of you to do so. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!! ��
