The Open Door at the Harmony House, there is HOPE!

Bring me your downtrodden, the broken, the dirty, and the sad;
Bring me the addicted, the wandering, the lonely, and the mad.
Whether you are lost in the bottle or bound by the heavy chain,
There is a seat here for your sorrow and a respite from your pain.
For the drunk and the addict, the weary soul who’s lost their way,
Our walls hold no judgment—only the strength to face the day.

To the mother in shadows, the father whose heart has been torn,
To the hurting family member, exhausted and weathered and worn:
You are not an island, though the waves have pulled you far from shore;
The burden you’ve carried alone is a weight you’ll bear no more.
We gather as glass that was shattered, now catching a different light,
Finding the courage in numbers to step out of the longest night.

Come as you are—with your secrets, your stumbles, and your fear,
For the path to recovery begins with the simple truth: you are here.
In the circle of the seeking, where AA, NA, and Al-Anon meet,
We trade our old stories for a foundation beneath our feet.
From the depth of the struggle to the hope of a brand-new start,
Harmony House is the anchor for every searching, healing heart.

At the Harmony House we strive to provide a clean, safe environment for 12 Step programs. Below is a section explaining a little history of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotic Anonymous.

There is a solution! Easy does it. It works, if you work it.

Taken from (https://carolinacenterforrecovery.com/addiction-blog/aa-na-12-steps/)

The 12-Step Program, originally developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and later adopted by Narcotics Anonymous (NA), is a structured recovery model designed to help individuals overcome addiction through personal accountability, spiritual growth, and community support. It guides participants through a progressive journey that begins with admitting powerlessness over addiction and leads to making amends, ongoing self-reflection, and helping others in recovery. When approached with commitment and sincerity, the 12-Step Program offers a highly effective, transformative path to lasting sobriety and emotional healing.

What is a 12-Step Program?
A 12-step program is a structured, peer-support framework designed to help individuals recover from addiction, compulsive behaviors, or mental health challenges through spiritual and personal growth. First introduced by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in 1939 with the publication of The Big Book, it has since inspired numerous groups, including Narcotics Anonymous (NA). The core purpose of the program is to promote lifelong abstinence, self-accountability, and mutual aid through regular meetings, sponsorship, and a commitment to personal transformation. It is especially suited for individuals seeking a community-based, structured, and spiritually inclined path to recovery, particularly those who benefit from shared experiences, consistent accountability, and step-by-step behavioral change.

What Are the 12 Steps of AA and NA?
The 12 Steps of AA and NA are a structured set of spiritual and personal growth principles designed to help individuals recover from addiction. They include admitting powerlessness over addiction, seeking help from a higher power, taking personal inventory, making amends, and helping others. Each step builds on the last to support long-term sobriety, emotional healing, and personal accountability.
