A week at camp may seem like a small thing, but for some children, it's an opportunity they wouldn't have without a little extra support.

Thanks to our Wishing Well Fund, students are able to attend camp this summer, make memories, build friendships, and experience something special. The Wishing Well Fund helps provide opportunities like camp, sports, activities, school needs, and other extras that help children thrive.

So a BIG thank you to everyone who gives and makes these moments possible!

Also, we're loving seeing our new Marland's Place shirts out and about this summer. 🎉

Que the celebration! 🎉

One of the beautiful things about foster care is that every journey looks different. While the goal is always reunification when possible, sometimes that journey leads to adoption.

We are so excited to celebrate with the Tredway family as they officially welcomed their teen daughter into their family through adoption.

What started with an open heart became something permanent, and that is worth celebrating.

Congratulations Melinda and Olivia! We are so happy for you and honored to be part of your journey. 💜

Help us welcome Dee De Leon to the Board of Directors here at Marland's Place! Dee retired from Kay County Detention Center in 2024, where he focused on Crisis Intervention and worked closely with mental health and drug courts. He holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice, and continues work as a mental health professional at Tulsa County Jail. He carries a passion for helping others through understanding and experience. Married to his wife, Stephanie, for 20 years, and proud parent to their beautiful daughters. He spent his high school years at Marland Children’s Home and is committed to giving back with a perspective shaped by both his personal and professional life. Thank you for joining our team Dee!

As Foster Care Awareness Month wraps up, we just want to say thank you. 🫶

Thank you to our foster families, community partners, donors, volunteers, churches, businesses and every person who supported, shared, showed up or took time to learn more this month.

Foster care truly takes a village, and we are so thankful to be surrounded by a community that cares so deeply for children and families.

Awareness month may be ending, but the need and the impact continue all year long. Thank you for being part of it. 🎉

We are incredibly thankful for First Baptist Church and their generosity toward our team! They blessed our case workers and staff with an amazing spread of snacks, and they truly went above and beyond and the sweetest handwritten notes. Our team works hard every day to serve children and families, and being encouraged and cared for by our community means more than you know. Thank you for supporting the heart behind the work. 💜
