Once again, great work Ptl. Uribe!

The Ponca City Police Department would like to congratulate Patrol Officer Matthew Uribe for being recognized by the Kaw Nation Family Trauma Healing Center for his exceptional efforts in protecting and serving victims of Domestic Violence. Officer Uribe was recognized for his service on April 10th at a reception to honor victims, as well as those who are dedicated to protecting, supporting and being a voice for victims.

In a statement from Director Rebecca Monhatwa, she shared the following: “The Kaw Nation Family Trauma Healing Center honors those who are dedicated to protecting, supporting and being a voice for victims of crime during 2025 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Kaw Nation Family Trauma Healing Center commemorates National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) by hosting a presentation to show support for victims and an awards ceremony. This year’s NCVRW theme—Connecting Healing—recognizes that shared humanity drives vital connections to services, rights, and healing. KINSHIP is where victim advocacy begins. This annual observance challenges us to build a world where every connection built through KINSHIP — between survivors, advocates, and communities — holds the potential to heal. It asks us to ensure that resources are available to all survivors and that we show up for one another with empathy and intention.”

Congratulations, Officer Uribe!
