Wow! What a wonderful week! The week was full of twists and turns and wonderful memories.
Miss Ponca City Emma Valgora walked away as a top 15 contestant for the second year in a row! That is an amazing accomplishment in this organization. She has ended her Miss Oklahoma journey on a wonderful high with making so many memories, and with the added benefit of gaining enough scholarships to walk away from school almost debt free!
Miss Ponca City’s Teen Amelia Morrow was absolutely stunning on that stage as a rookie! She wowed everyone with her beautiful talent and grace. I know that as she continues she will benefit so much. Amelia is the epitome of what this program is for. 💜

The Miss Ponca City Queens hit the floor running on Wednesday and Thursday! Teens had private interviews and Miss Ponca City’s Teen Amelia Murrow did great with getting to talk about her CSI and her goals in life! Miss Ponca City Emma Valgora had her prelims and left it all on the stage!!!

The Miss Ponca City/ Miss Heartland Queens had a big day yesterday! The Teens got moved in and had the best PJ welcome party where they got to celebrate each other, exchange gifts with their secret sister, and of course tons of photos!
The Miss had their interviews and rehearsals. Interviews are the first time the Queens are meeting the judges and they get to show them who they are. Hearing both of their stories when they came out of that room, I know they did that! I am absolutely blown away at how eloquent these ladies are. 💜

$120,000!!! That is how much was awarded at the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Luncheon yesterday. WOW!!! I love how much this organization pours into these women every year.
$6,000 of that went to Miss Ponca City Emma Valgora! All the Miss Queens were also blessed with the opportunity to go through courses and earn their real estate license thanks to Lecye Doolen! She is a former Miss Oklahoma Contestant and current board member who believes in giving back to the women and this was huge!
There was one more award given today… the Miss Ponca City/ Miss Heartland organization won Local Organization of the Year!!! This was so unexpected and such a big honor. I came onto this board because I believed in it. I was never a pageant girlie, but man have I always loved it. I love getting the opportunity to help empower these young ladies and help guid them. This is a program I believe in so much because I see how these ladies grow in so many areas. They are strong, beautiful inside and out, and I am the lucky one to get to be a small part of their lives. Thank you Miss Oklahoma for allowing me to be apart of this and for the honor of being the Local Organization of the Year!!

Yesterday Miss Ponca City Emma Valgora got all checked into Miss Oklahoma! They had a full day of dance rehearsals and got checked into their amazing rooms for the week. It’s going to be such a great week!!! If you have any words of encouragement to any of the girls- send me a private message here. I give the girls bags everyday filled with goodies and cards. I have plenty of cards I can still fill out for people 🙂
