Four months after its inception, the first Bella Voce Singers concert was held in June 1996 at the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains with twelve original choral members. Now almost 20 years later, twenty members representing eight different vocal parts, have developed quite a loyal following in our community. Their Spring and Holiday concerts have featured musical selections ranging from tra
ditional American folk songs, European classics, and 9th century madrigals, to recognized Broadway songs and other popular favorites like Billy Joel and the Beatles. Over the years, Bella Voce has performed at a variety of venues, including the Rhino Theatre (Pompton Lakes), the Pompton Reformed Church of Pompton Lakes, Pequannock Township's ADOPT Christmas Tree Lighting and the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains. They were also asked to perform at the inaugural opening of the Pequannock Township Library and have been performing there ever since! Bella Voce rehearses on Tuesday nights at the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, from 8-10pm. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining!
