The MomCo at The Chapel

The MomCo at The Chapel God has given us one of the most important jobs ever: to raise children. This can be really tough! Happy moms can be better moms. Who can join? How can I join?

The MomCo encourages and equips moms to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. The MomCo is...
*A welcoming and open environment
*Mentoring and leadership development opportunities
*Valuable take away teachings and lessons
*And best of all … downtime away from your kids. We are a group of moms that want to provide

support, encouragement, and friendship, so that we can be the best moms for our kids physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Women have found community through The MomCo for almost 40 years, and there are chapters that meet all around the world. We discuss topics relevant to mothers, listen to speakers, and relax with one another! The MomCo is open to any mother in the community with children ages birth through school-aged. Mothers of all faith backgrounds are welcome to join, and do not have to attend The Chapel to participate. Combined groups will meet:
Thursday afternoons from 12:30-2:30pm
Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30am

On Thursday mornings (9:15-11:15am), there will also be an in-depth discussion group (MOMS Growing in God) for those who want to delve deeper into selected topics. Each mom is encouraged to select one group that best fits her needs. Everyone is welcome to visit a meeting before registering. If you decide to become a Chapel MomCo member, there is a yearly fee for registration on The MomCo by MOPS International. Please go to www.thechapel.org/themomco to register.

Last night we didn’t just talk about resilience; we built it.

Each table was given spaghetti and marshmallows with one simple challenge:
Build the tallest tower you can… that can actually stand.

At first it felt light and fun.
But quickly it became something deeper.

The spaghetti alone was too fragile.
The marshmallows alone were too soft.
It required strategy, trial and error, communication, encouragement — and community.

Some towers fell.
Some leaned.
Some had to be rebuilt more than once.

And that was the point.

Resilience isn’t about never collapsing.
It’s about learning how to rebuild.
It’s about using what you have.
It’s about standing upright because you’re supported.

Our kids are the same.

They need:
• relationships that hold them steady
• safe spaces to fail
• encouragement to try again
• and a community that reminds them they don’t have to build alone

Last night reminded us that resilience isn’t toughness, it’s connection.

And just like those towers, we’re stronger together 🤍

Thank you to Erin Bennington with for sharing about Creating Resilience & Resourcefulness in Our Kids!
