The Flood Advisory Board works with Borough officials and the proper authorities to find ways to alleviate and/or control flooding. The FAB is comprised of 9 volunteers, all residents of Pompton Lakes, all appointed by the mayor, who work together to advise the mayor and council on Flood related matters. Our recent projects include an ongoing River Hazard Assessment and River Work Action Plan, use
d by the borough to guide the selection and scope of river work projects; supporting legislation for the creation of a state Office of River Management; and supporting the CRS program. We have recently turned out attention to improving storm water management in the borough.
