Due to current U.S. travel restrictions, our fellow poets and brothers from Togo are unable to come to the United States to complete our cultural exchange.
When we travel to Togo, they welcome us with open arms and generously provide our transportation, lodging, and meals.

Since we are unable to return that hospitality in the same way right now, we are raising funds to help ease financial pressure and support their poetry festival, artistic work, and community.

Every contribution makes a difference. For perspective, $5USD is more than $2,000 CFA, so even a small donation goes a long way.

This fundraiser is not for our travel; our tickets and arrangements have already been purchased. It is simply our way of showing up for our partners in Togo until the exchange can take place as it was intended.

One of our favorite parts of the Fesitval are our free in school poetry workshops. Each year we serve over 150 students in the Pompano Beach Community. Special thanks for Moreland's Academy and Blanche Ely high school for always supporting and understanding the importance of the Arts.
