Volunteer Service and Leadership in our Community
The Pompano Beach Woman’s Club was first organized in 1910 and incorporated in 1921. It was reorganized in 1947 and became Federated State and General in 1949. The land was bought from the City of Pompano Beach so a Woman’s Club could be started. The ground breaking date was January 25, 1966 and the building was dedicated on June 12, 1966. It was paid off in 10 years.
In 2017, the Clubhouse received Historical Status with the City of Pompano Beach. We are a service club, providing scholarships, supporting local charities as well as numerous State projects.
The Pompano Beach Library was started by our Club. We are proud of all our hard working members and the fine work they do for the community and the club. Special events are held such as our Awards Dinner and Fashion Show Luncheon to build community spirit and raise funds for our scholarships.
We hold lively and informative monthly luncheons from October through May where we do it the old-fashioned way and members bring in their favorite dishes to share.
