Even though Johnny is site impaired, he knows right where to go. He comes right across the field through the door into the kennel room and into his kennel and turns around and waits for his treat. Please somebody come foster him or adopt him. He really deserves a home he’s got a beautiful personality super sweet little Hangry when he doesn’t get his treats or his food on time but other than that, he’s an amazing dog. Luvabull.org

This is really sad and a reminder to keep your eye on your dogs. Do not let them eat or chew on dead iguanas.

A Florida family is sharing a heartbreaking warning after one of their dogs died and another was left paralyzed following contact with a dead iguana.

The incident happened in Loxahatchee, where two bluetick coonhounds were playing with the carcass in their backyard.

Days later, both dogs suddenly lost the use of their back legs. One of them, Tally, did not survive.

Veterinarians believe the dogs contracted botulism, a rare but serious toxin that can be present in decomposing animals.

The owner hopes the story raises awareness for other pet owners, especially during cold snaps when iguanas fall from trees.

Even brief contact with dead wildlife can be dangerous, and experts urge keeping pets far away from carcasses at all times.

Let’s talk adoption fees. Most people do not understand why we charge a fee.Thing is if you can’t afford an adoption fee how will you afford a veterinary fee? These bullies, pit bulls, French bull dogs or any Bully breed are not cheap dogs. Trust us we know. That’s why they are always dumped or surrendered from inexperienced owners. Ears, teeth, skin allergies and much more. We rescue them from euthanasia list and owners who just can’t afford their vet bills anymore. So when we charge an adoption fee it doesn’t cover a fraction of the money we already put into these babies just to get them back to health to be adopted. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, skin care, medication, bloodwork, surgeries, microchip , grooming, training , love, care and boarding until they are adopted, way exceeds the fee. I hope that helps our followers understand.

For more than 20 years we have prevented certain death to hundreds of animals, rescuing them from unsafe, horrific living conditions. We provide payment for veterinary care to cure their wounds from abuse / neglect / abandonment. We do not take owner surrenders! We only take dogs from high kill shelters that are not seen by the general public because they are injured, have mange, and are considered un adoptable. We take the dogs that have no other chance! We find new, permanent loving families to provide the 'forever' homes that these wonderful animals deserve; and we reeducate the public as to the qualities and care of the various breeds.

Our rescue needs your help to provide the funding that will enable us to continue to save unfortunate animals from unnecessary pain and death that results from neglect, abuse and abandonment.
