Florida Coast Church A Christ-centered church in Pompano Beach devoted to the gospel, discipleship, prayer and community. Sundays at 10 AM at 371 S Federal Hwy in Pompano Beach, FL.

The same year Larry Trotter graduated from Northeast High School, he also became a Christian through the ministry of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. At Duke University, he studied Math and Economics in preparation for a career in business. However, God redirected his path by calling him into the ministry during his senior year. At Westminster Theological Seminary, Larry met, fell in love with, and married Sandy, who had just returned from three years teaching at Christ College in Taiwan. After three years as an associate pastor in Maryland with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Larry and Sandy left with their infant daughter for Mexico City, where they helped start a new church. After four years and with two young daughters, they moved to Guadalajara, where they spent the next twenty years, starting new churches, a school, a community development center, and a ministry training institute. Always fascinated with public speaking, Larry earned a PhD in Communication along the way with a focus on preaching. With both of their daughters back in the States and the work in Mexico prospering on its own, Larry and Sandy began to search for a new ministry in which they could put to good use their training and international experience. This search kept them in the work of new church development and led them back to Larry's hometown, where they are working to start Florida Coast Church, part of the PCA and a mission of CityChurch Fort Lauderdale. As a Christian church, the PCA holds the Bible to be the infallible word of God and Jesus Christ to be the Savior of sinners who trust and follow him. The goal for Florida Coast Church is to unite the diverse ages, cultures, and languages of South Florida in a community of faith, learning, and love.

Isaiah had the difficult call from God to preach judgment to Judah because the Lord had given the people over to their sins.

Isaiah 6:10 (ESV)
Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.

The girls of Florida Coast Church had a great time this past Saturday mediating on the importance of the word of the cross and painting masterpieces 🎨🫟

For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18, ESV)

Isaiah 6:1-13 - A Vision of the Lord
-Although Isaiah‘s call to be a prophet was unique, it also was an experience that everyone should have with the Lord of being undone by his holiness and cleansed by his grace.

In Isaiah 1, the Lord said that he hid his eyes from the prayers of the people of Judah because their hands were full of blood.

Their observance of worship ordinances were a burden to God because they did not love their neighbors.

God, through the mouth of Isaiah, rebuked the people of Judah for their empty and meaningless worship.

The Lord is clear that we must not be double-minded, but worship with clean hands and a pure heart through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We had a great time studying 2 John last night as we learned about the importance of both truth and love in the Christian life 🙏

4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. 5 And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. (2 John 4–6, ESV)

Been on the look out 👀

When nominating elders, churches should be watching for men who meet the Biblical qualifications for character and doctrine.
