Connecting families to local services and support is essential to helping adolescents thrive. This was a key message shared at the Bi-Annual Adolescent Networking Mixer at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center.

LTC was proud to attend today's event, where a panel of experts discussed the mental health and substance use challenges facing today’s youth and the resources available to support them.

Concerned about a loved one’s alcohol or substance use? You don’t have to navigate it alone.

LTC Florida offers free weekly support meetings for families, both in person and on Zoom. Ask questions, connect with others who understand, and leave with valuable information, resources, support, and hope.

Easy Access to Cannabis, Difficult Consequences for Youth.

A study published in JAMA Pediatrics found that cannabis use during adolescence and young adulthood was associated with lower grades, higher absenteeism and dropout rates, and lower rates of high school graduation, college enrollment, and degree completion.

As cannabis becomes easier to access, it's important to understand the potential impact on our youth. Early intervention is key.

If you or someone you know has a loved one who may be struggling with substance use, you're not alone.

Learn to Cope Florida offers FREE, confidential peer support meetings for families.
