Our Story

Starting Over Enterprises, Inc. is a FL 501C-3 non-profit organization that dedicates itself to the rehabilitation and training of Florida’s homeless population. Whether one is a disabled veteran, timed out of prison, or just down on their luck they are welcomed into a program which will feed, shelter, cloth, and support them to let go of their past, learn a trade, and become viable members of society.

Program participants are taught a trade, learning carpentry skills under the direct supervision of master carpenter, Tony Fitzgerald along with the aid of PTL Cabinets.

PTL Cabinets program provides a community based alternative education program that balances classroom education and occupational training in a State of the Art computerized facility while adhering to NCCER, National Center for Construction Education & Research, curriculum. Program participants are placed into an apprenticeship program where they learn carpentry and comprehensive vocational skills tailored to suit their individual abilities. Participants who graduate from the program leave with marketable skills enabling them to form a pathway to success, have a career, and become viable members of society.

Participants are given counseling and attend community service based learning & leadership classes. Intervention and positive reinforcement strategies are instilled which not only strengthens the individual but enhances their personal growth. With a new lease on life, restored dignity and self-esteem our graduates formulate a positive work ethic which ensures their success.
