Hillsboro Inlet is one of the most iconic waterways in South Florida and has been guiding boats safely to the ocean since the early 1900s. The nearby Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse was first lit in 1907 and remains one of the most recognizable landmarks along Florida’s coast. Because of the strong currents that pass through the inlet, the water here stays incredibly clear — which is why boaters, fishermen, and divers from all over South Florida love coming through this channel.
