Palomares Empowerment Program

The Palomares Empowerment Program (PEP) is a after-school program and club at the Palomares Academy of Health Sciences that aims to create peace and unity by building the local and global community. Our students, grades 7 to 12, learn the importance of celebrating their strengths and telling their personal stories through integrated lessons designed to enhance their multiple intelligences. The PEP

serves as a safe, orderly, and supportive environment for our students to explore their inner thoughts, to develop skills that assist in their academic careers, to practice being role models for their peers, and develop the capacity for service to humanity. Through storytelling, in depth discussions, and personal reflections our students learn the art and science of building unified communities and are able to identify and create visions for their futures. The PEP is lead by trained interns and coordinators who understand the importance of serving our local communities and creating a vision of change for the betterment of humanity. Our program is enthusiastically supported by the superintendent of the Pomona Unified School District and by the principal, teachers, and staff at the Palomares Academy. The PEP would also like to extend its thanks to the Center for Global Integrated Education (CGIE), without whom the Empowerment Program would not exist. Interested in our program?
