Meet Sadie! 🌸

She is part of Surfers For Strays along with her adorable siblings and mom - and they are looking for her furever home!

They have been fostered by one of Mutt Hut's amazing board members so we know they have been well taken care of, socialized, and fully vetted!

Meet Mack & Luna ❤️

These two MAJESTIC dogs are a pair of BONDED furry friends just looking to claim a couch and a family of their very own.

Both are very sweet and at just 2 years old, have plenty of life left to show love and loyalty to a lucky family that will love them back!

After being rescued from an unfortunate situation where they lived in a tiny shed, they're more than ready to show they are more than just lawn ornaments.

Mack and Luna are sweet Dane/Corso mixes, fixed, UTD and ready to start their adventures together with you!

These two baby boys are sooooo ready for a home of their very own!

Juan Carlos (green) and Jose Miguel (blue) are part of our litter and 2 of the most amazing little characters you will ever meet!

The DNA test for this litter came back as chihuahua/yorkie with husky/malamute and I truly don't know how or from where 🤣

These babies are just FOUR months old. They are potty and crate trained. JC is the smallest (shortest) of the littler and JM is the tallest!

Puppies can be hard to handle but this entire litter has been a breath of fresh air!! Old souls in tiny bodies!!

I swear he gives me a heart attack multiple times a day - but ESPECIALLY when he busts his head-off-the-bed-and-tongue-out move.

I constantly have to make sure he is breathing. He is old as dirt, but I swear he is going to outlive me at this point 🤣

We were made aware of a snake needing help at SEAACA. Then the shelter told us the snake was actually injured in several places (cuts vs bites vs deformities)

We immediately said yes but we truly need your help!

I don't know yet if male/female but we are naming this slithery friend "Banana" and they can use all the funding we can get under their name.

Vetting in general is expensive but exotics are whole other game. Exams alone tend to be 3x more the regular price and that goes the same for diagnostics and medications. (And this isn't even accounting for the supplies needed to host a proper enclosure)

Reptiles hide their pain and illness until its too late.

Yesterday at the school pick up line, I looked back and saw a familiar face that seemed a little too frosty these days – and I swear I felt my heart shatter a little.

Jelly came to MHR at just a few months old with completely shattered legs (stomped on by her pos owner). She was fostered by our dear friend, Nikki, during recovery and after several failed attempts to place her, we had to find a new "temp" foster while Nikki took her scheduled weekend trip.

We couldn't find anyone, even for those few days, so she came to my home.

Jelly proceeded to bite me on day 1 out of fear (totally my fault!), attempted to escape, and despite my best efforts, she would decline her yummy personalized meals for a chance at digging through my kitchen trash each and every day.

My husband had to retrain himself to be sure he removed his sunglasses and work hat before coming through our front door (Jelly was TERRIFIED of men in general but ESPECIALLY with caps and glasses!)

I had to retrain myself to slow down and gain some patience.

What was originally a "weekend stay" ended up being what it is today, 9 years later.

Jelly was scared SH*TLESS of people but gravitated A LOT towards my toddler. Jelly looked at my then-2-year-old for comfort, guidance and reassurance.

Just looking at those 2 interact and seeing them light up together, I knew Jelly wasn't going anywhere (mostly because nobody else wanted her 🤣).

And now here we are - (managed) arthritis, hints of dementia, the start of vision imparements, and her annoying hobby of barking at anyone and everything that dares pass through our sidewalk - ourselves included because of course, she rather ask questions later.
..but we love her nonetheless.

She has been our MHR "tester" dog all these years and just looking at her today and seeing the big picture, I think it's her time to just continue enjoying life from the comfort of her tempurpedic bed - without a job to worry about.

So please help me welcome Jelly to, not only the end of a VERY successful "career", but the start of a *hopefully* very long retirement life 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

Special thanks to Penny Cooper for thinking of our kitties!!!

Often, we get items off our dog but our kitties always get overlooked. Its a MEGA surprise when we open an box and see kitty stuff! - especially our FAVORITE Instinct Pet Food | Healthy dog & cat food items!!

Pictured here is Batty. She came to us at just a couple of days old with her siblings when their mamma got sadly killed by a car and a member of the community seeked for help.

Her siblings all eventually got adopted except for her and her twin sister (not pictured)....and here we are 3 years later with both still waiting (told you cats stay FOOREEEVVEEERRRR here) - but alas, they're fine and have been a HUGE help with testing and socializing our foster dogs ♡♡♡
