ADOPT•FOSTER•DONATE
A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Foster-Based Rescue committed to securing, rehabilitating & rehoming unwanted, neglected and abandoned dogs, cats & reptiles in SoCal. Because we are foster based, we are always in need of Fosters (year round). Fostering is free, easy and can be done in an apartment, mobile home, condo or home. We provide ALL food and supplies to each foster. Fosters also get 'first dibs' on their foster pup. Visit our website www.mutthutrescues.org for a foster (or adoption) application. We are a non-profit, so we rely on generous donations and support from our community, followers, friends and Mutt Hut family. Every animal saved, incurs several medical, supply and transportation expenses. Visit our website for more information, foster application, adoption application, available animals and more! This dog was found a week ago by a bystander who saw this pup nearly getting runover in the busy streets of Rosemead.

They didn't find owners even whole posting online and asking neighbors and shelter wanted to charge them surrender fees and didnt know where to turn. They could no longer hold the pup so we offered to help.

I received this sweetie today and is completely matted, has eye goop running down the sides in its matted fur and has caked p**p between some of the super matted paws. I've yet to see fleas but there's flea dust. No injuries seen. Not microchipped. No collar/tags.

We have made a vet and groomer appointment for tomorrow and will definitely need our villagers' help to get what this precious soul so desperately needs during tomorrow's urgent visit.

Meanwhile, if you recognize this pup as your own, please DM us with its s*x, proof of ownership and reasoning as to why they are in the condition they're in.

Being around doggies truly does make my world a better place - and when adopting from us, you can tell how amazingly adored (and trained) these babies have been ♡

If you'd like to read the full story and see more graphic images, please refer to our published stories. I will try to make her own highlight after posting this.

This is Whiskers, a 15yr old female cat that needed our help urgently yesterday with a nasty ulcerated mass.

Thanks to our friends at Village Animal Hospital we were able to get her seen very last-minute and help her - but we REALLY need help raising the $914 that were needed to save her life.

We weren't planning on this expense, so on this $5Friday please, if you're able to, help us with a donation in her name 🙏

These collars seemed PERFECT to me for a Dolly Parton memorial.

I am wanting to partner with other rescues soon (already in the works) to create a vigil walk/hike in her honor with all these rescue dogs who she would've loved!
..And those collars would be PERFECT for this!

Its National Black Dog Day!

October 1st is seen every year as a day to bring awareness about

It is very sad (and ridiculous) but black dogs face the most euthanasia rates at shelters and are often overlooked at rescues simply because of the color of their fur.

From being hard to photograph to silly myths, these majestic babies have it tough from day 1.

So today, please help us share our adorable black pups that are available for adoption and share YOUR beautiful black dogs to help us bust the myths that surround this phenomenon.
