✊ AMAZON TEAMSTERS PUSH FOR DELIVERY PROTECTION ACT!

Amazon Teamsters are gaining momentum in New York City, where the Teamsters-backed Delivery Protection Act has the support of Mayor Zohran Mamdani and a supermajority of the City Council.

The proposed legislation would address Amazon's subcontracting practices and establish stronger protections for delivery drivers.

Teamsters are calling on City Council Speaker Julie Menin to schedule an immediate vote on the legislation.

During Nevada's 2023 and 2025 legislative sessions, Gov. Joe Lombardo vetoed 30 bills identified as pro-worker legislation, including measures addressing wages, collective bargaining rights, workplace safety and benefits.

These decisions have consequences for working families across Nevada.

Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien joined hundreds of Amazon Teamsters, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and elected officials at City Hall, calling for an immediate vote on the Delivery Protection Act.

The proposed legislation would hold delivery companies like Amazon accountable by requiring facility registration and prohibiting the subcontracting of last-mile delivery drivers throughout New York City's five boroughs.
