🎒 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED | SECOND ANNUAL BACKPACK GIVEAWAY 🎒

This Sunday, August 9, hundreds of children will arrive with excitement, hope, and dreams for a new school year. Together, we can help make sure they leave feeling prepared, confident, and supported.

Hope Esperanza is looking for compassionate volunteers to help us make our Second Annual Backpack Giveaway a day our community will never forget.

Whether you’re helping distribute backpacks, welcoming families, setting up, keeping supplies organized, or simply offering a smile, your presence matters. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our time.

Every backpack represents more than school supplies—it tells a child:
“Your community believes in you.”

💚 Our biggest back-to-school event is back! 💚🎒

Hope Esperanza is proud to present our 2nd Annual Back to School Backpack

Join us for an afternoon of giving, hope, and family fun as we provide FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to registered students while supplies last.

✨ Every registered student will receive raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes, including bicycles and desks! Plus, enjoy face painting and a day filled with community spirit.

Back-to-school season should be filled with excitement and possibility not stress about the cost of school supplies. 💚

Hope Esperanza is preparing for our Second Annual Backpack Giveaway, and we need our community’s help to make sure local students walk into their first day of school feeling prepared, confident, and supported.

📚 We are now accepting donations!
You can support our Back-to-School Fundraiser by purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist or making a monetary donation through Zelle or Venmo using the QR codes on our flyer.

Every backpack donated is more than school supplies it tells a child:

🌸 A rescued flower can do more than brighten a room it can brighten a life.

Every week, Hope Esperanza rescues beautiful flowers that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill and places them into the hands of seniors, families, volunteers, and community members throughout our community.

A simple bouquet becomes a reminder that someone cares. It brings comfort, restores dignity, sparks joy, and lets people know they are seen and valued.

At the same time, every bouquet we rescue is an act of environmental justice. By keeping flowers out of landfills, we reduce waste and give nature’s beauty a second chance to fulfill its purpose.

This is what sustainability looks like when it’s rooted in love.
This is what hope looks like in full bloom. 🌷

✨ Community. Dignity. Hope. ✨

Tonight at Friday Night Lights with our amazing partners Just Us 4 Youth, we were reminded that when organizations come together, communities thrive.

Our Hope Esperanza youth volunteers welcomed every family with a smile, helping neighbors take home beauty supplies, skincare products, sunblock, household essentials, and cool agua fresca to beat the summer heat. 💚☀️

One of the most beautiful moments was watching young girls light up with excitement as they picked out makeup and skincare products. Those smiles reminded us that dignity matters.

At Hope Esperanza, we believe no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and caring for themselves. Self-care isn’t a luxuryt builds confidence, restores dignity, and reminds every person that they are worthy.

🎬🍽️ Today was one of those special days.

We had the opportunity to rescue surplus food from a film production working in our community. While the cameras may have stopped rolling, the impact didn’t.

Instead of ending up in a landfill, this fresh, delicious food will nourish families right here in our community.

Did you know many film productions practice sustainability by donating surplus meals to local nonprofits? It’s a powerful reminder that fighting food waste takes all of us.

At Hope Esperanza, we believe every rescued meal is more than food—it’s dignity, hope, and a reminder that no one should go hungry while good food is thrown away.
