The 165th Woodstock Fair opens today, Thursday, September 3, at 4:00 p.m. at the Woodstock Fairgrounds!

Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with one of Connecticut’s biggest and longest-running agricultural fairs. There will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including farm animals and exhibits, carnival rides and games, fair food, live music, entertainment, and more.

Fireworks are scheduled for tonight at 9:00 p.m.

The PCS PTO is excited to host our 2nd Annual Harvest Hustle 5K Race and Kids Fun Run, September 19th, and we need your help to make this special event a success! We're looking for volunteers to help with a variety of jobs before, during, and after the race. There are opportunities for everyone, including:

Setting up the event
Manning the registration table
Handing out water and snacks
Helping along the race route
Cleaning up after the event

SPREAD THE WORD ~ Food Drive - September 5th at the Community Center

Pomfret Proprietors will be hosting their monthly Food Drive to benefit TEEG's 'Pomfret Community Market' on September 5th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Center, 207 Mashamoquet Road, Pomfret Center. The September drive is being staffed by the Abington Social Library. Donations of pantry items - canned meats, canned vegetables, canned or dried fruit, applesauce, crackers, rice, pasta, canned soups and cash donations are always welcome! Refrigeraters and freezers are available for perishable items. Toiletries are also greatly appreciated!
