This announcement is being shared to help residents be informed and prepared to attend, ask questions, and offer input on the Solar Array proposal.

If the Pomfret Forest fiasco isn't a "backroom deal" I don't know what is! In this video I will break down the timeline of what has happened there over the past year and all of the mismanagement and misuse of town land and town funds to the tune of over $100,000 and counting! I don't need an ethics commission in town to convince me! 😆 Stay tuned because there are talks of future town meetings involving a secret proposal our First Selectman has sent to CT DEEP after she quietly tried to hide the cease and desist order she was sent on December 2nd from them. This proposal has not been shared with the full Board of Selectmen or the town of Pomfret, but it is a proposal involving OUR town's land. Why the secrecy? 🧐

During Cultural Arts Week, I posted a 16‑second video with a combo of short video & photo clips of kids enjoying the event. I was told to take it down—while similar posts from other parents stay up year-round. That experience sent me down a rabbit hole of policies, permissions, and double standards.

Another tasteless Letter to the Editor putting people down and discouraging participation in Pomfret. 👎🏼👎🏼 Listen to me read the letter and separate the facts from the fiction.

FACTS:

465 People voted on the budget referendum

An estimated 21 Democrats signed the petition for the referendum

An estimated 81 Unaffiliated Voters signed the same petition

An estimated 130 Republicans signed the petition

Town Meetings have NOT been some "nice" "civil" place to discuss budget questions

Some citizens don't even go vote because they are so intimidated by the Town Meeting style

My questions were left largely UNANSWERED

The budget presented and approved at the BOS workshop was NOT the final version online for citizens to review for "months"

Lastly, I question - Does the PCS Cafeteria safely accommodate ALL of our citizens if they were to show up and vote? Does it even accommodate 465 people safety and up to today's codes? I was there last year when around 300 people voted and it was pure chaos so I can't imagine 165 more people fitting in there, nicely...

Just finished casting my vote on the budgets for the full day referendum in Pomfret! Get out there and make your voice heard! Whether you love or hated the budgets this year, your voice matters! You can stop at the Community Center anytime up until 8:00 p.m. to cast your votes, don't let this opportunity slip by!
