8:00 AM: Open Horse Show
10:00 AM-11:00 AM: Cowboy Church
10:00 AM: EWAM opens
10:00 AM: Concession stands open, Exhibit Halls Open
11:00 AM: Chicken Scrambles and Balloon Toss in front of the Grandstands
1:00 PM: Garfield County Fair Rodeo in the Rodeo Arena. Concessions at Rodeo Arena
3:00 PM: Contest winners announced at Rodeo Grounds Arena
4:00 PM: EXHIBITS MAY BE REMOVED. ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE REMOVED BY 5:00 PM

🚨 GARFIELD COUNTY FAIR — IMPORTANT NOTICE 🚨

The Fair Board is aware of several incidents involving unacceptable behavior during the Fair, including unauthorized use of Fair equipment, destructive behavior, and theft of personal property.

We want to be very clear: this behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Our Fair is a community event that takes a tremendous amount of time, work, and support from volunteers and local families. The equipment, activities, and spaces provided are there for everyone to enjoy safely and respectfully.

We are asking parents and guardians to please talk with their kids about respecting the fair, its equipment, volunteers, vendors, and other fairgoers. Having fun at the Fair does not mean damaging property, taking things that don’t belong to you, or putting others at risk.

We want our Fair to remain a fun and welcoming place for families, but if these incidents continue, the Fair will have to make significant changes to how certain activities and equipment are managed. We do not want to take away things that our community enjoys, but we will do what is necessary to protect our property, volunteers, and fairgoers.

We appreciate everyone who has helped make this year’s fair a great community event. 🇺🇸

06:30 AM-08:30 AM: Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce Cowboy Breakfast at Spinner’s
7:00 AM: Biscuits and Gravy available at the Spinner’s Potato Booth
8:15 AM: Swine Fitting and Showing (Open Class, FFA followed by 4-H)
9:00 AM: EWAM opens. Ag equipment museum exhibitions and seminars throughout the day. Signs will be posted with locations
9:00 AM: Lil’ Pardners Beef Show (2nd optional showing)
9:30 AM: Beef Show. 4-H Market Steer Fitting and Showing (Seniors, Intermediates and Juniors); followed by FFA Fitting and Showing (FR/Sophomore, followed by Jr/Senior); followed by 4-H Feeder Steer Fitting and Showing (Seniors, Intermediates, Juniors); followed by FFA Fitting and Showing (FR/Sophomore, followed by Junior/Senior).
10:00 AM: Exhibit buildings and concessions open
10:00AM-4:00 PM: Antique Farm Equipment Show – baseball field/EWA Museum
10:30 AM-2:30 PM: Fish Kiss Face Art by west end of Spinners Booth
11:00 AM: Demonstrations at the EWAM TBA/Ice Cream Making
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Rizzy the Camel and Friends will be on the Grandstand grass
11:00 AM: Sheep and Goat Show. Lamb Fitting and Showing demonstration with judge. 4-H Fitting and
Showing Classes (Senior, Intermediate, then Junior); followed by FFA Fitting and Showing (Freshman/Sophomore, followed by Junior/Senior); followed by Open Class Fitting and Showing.
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Music by Jacob Hirsh
12:00 PM- 2:00 PM- Lawrence Huntley- Hammer Dulcimer Musician
1:00 PM: Horseshoe Tournament next to the Horse Stalls
1:00 4-H/FFA LIVESTOCK ROUND ROBIN – Participants meet at 12:45 pm in the Beef Arena for instructions. 4-H Senior Fitting and Showing winners by species, and FFA Junior/Senior winners by species compete.
1:30 PM: Children’s events in front of the Grand Stand; Minute to Win it, Fair
Themed Game, Straw Search
1:45 PM: Needlework Department Demonstration in the needlework area of the Exhibit Hall
2:00 PM: Fine Arts painting Demonstrations in fine arts area of Exhibit Hall
2:00 PM: 4-H Horse Games in 4-H arena
3:00 PM: WSU/Garfield County Extension serves cake and Ferdinand’s ice cream, Delbert Niebel Arena
3:15 PM: 4-H and FFA pictures
3:45 PM: Market Livestock Awards in Swine Arena – Rate of Gain Winners, Recognition of Grand & Reserve Market Champions, Recognition of Fitting & Showing Grand and Reserve Champions.
4:00 PM: Market Livestock Sale- All Grand Champions will sell first, followed by Reserve
Champions in each barn. Sale order will be Steers, Goats, Lambs, Hogs
5:00 PM: Exhibit buildings close
6:00 PM: EWAM Closes
7:00 PM: Motorcycle and ATV Arena Games. Pre-registration entries due Friday the 11th to Extension Office. NO late entries will be accepted. Start time is approximate, games will start after market sale.

7:00 AM: Biscuits and Gravy available at the Spinner’s Potato Booth
8:00 AM-9:30 AM: Enter Cereal Grains in the Agricultural Room
8:00 AM: Poultry and Rabbit Show
8:30 AM: 4-H and FFA Livestock Judging events begin
9:00 AM: Eastern Washington Ag Museum (EWAM) opens. Ag equipment museum exhibitions and seminars throughout the day. Signs will be posted with locations
10:00 AM: Exhibit buildings and concessions open
10:30 AM: Open Beef Show
11:00 AM: Demonstrations at the EWAM TBA/Ice Cream Making 11:00 AM - 2 PM: Temporary Tattoos at the West end of the food court
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Rizzy the Camel and Friends will be on the Grandstand grass
12:00 PM: Swine Show, Open, 4H and FFA Market Swine Confirmation Classes (FFA followed by 4H)
12:00 PM- 2:00 PM- Lawrence Huntley- Hammer Dulcimer Musician
12:30 PM: Beef Show, Beef Fitting Showing demonstration with the beef judge, followed by 4-H and FFA Market Steer Confirmation Classes (Classes alternate 4-H and FFA. Class one depends on whether there are more 4-H or FFA). Lil’ Pardners (Children under 4-H age). 4-H and FFA Feeder Steer Confirmation Classes (alternate beginning with FFA; FFA champion selected before 4-H Champion).
3:00 PM: Sheep Show, FFA Market Lambs, followed by 4-H Market Lambs, followed by Open
Market. FFA Breeding Stock, followed by 4-H Breeding Stock, followed by Open.
Goat Show (immediately following Sheep Show) Judging of all goat classes, 4-H, FFA and Open by
Premium Book Classes.
4:00 PM: EWAM Closes
5:00 PM: Exhibit Buildings close
5:30 PM: Fair Parade Downtown (Line-up is 4:30 PM at the High School parking lot)
7:30 PM-10:00 PM: 4-H Camp All Youth Dance in Concession breezeway
