So after this morning's vet run (I dropped off Mr Grandstand for a little dip'n'snip and a tiny reCheck with Dr Kelly on DREAM]), I was cleaning kitty condos as fast as I could, administering antibiotics, cleaning dishes, refilling, checking vitals, when the first clap of thunder hit along with the first million raindrops within seconds.
Thus, the very reason, we need a facility. I was making progress until then. Now my list increased. With wet kittens to dry, more bedding to change, wet food that was waiting to be placed in their clean condo... I can't let them be at any further risk, not for any length of time! They are still sick 😫 so more towels, try to fluff them up. They are too big to attempt to blow dry by myself. Especially outside, on the back porch, with allergies... but peep these pics!! So much to love ❤️

Cat #24 Poppy: Spayed. She is from a colony on Court St, Racine. She will be returned upon healing from her procedure. She will never have to worry about trying to care for kittens again. Just herself. Her procreaction ends today.
Not a great photo. But feral cats aren't always photogenic or compliant to being photo'd.

These kittens were found in a garbage can yesterday...with the lid on. 🤬 a sick way to "dispose" of unwanted kittens. This is exactly why it's so important to get your pets fixed. Personal responsibility saves lives. These kittens are with us now, being fostered by a nursing mother in our care. These are amongst the lucky ones who find their way to help. The problem is , there is so little help for cats around here. No shelters, no resources, no education to the public. These unwanted cats are absolutely a man made problem and the solution must be man made as well. We cant keep pretending this problem will fix itself without human intervention. It's time for people to start speaking up and getting proactive about getting a shelter in the area. The need is great and real. People are doing atrocious things to cats because they feel stuck with out options. Reach out to your Commissioners and start pushing the prospect of a shelter and a solution, please !!!

This is Reese, she is spayed and not quite a year old yet. This pretty girl has had a rough start in life and will need some extra TLC in the beginning until she believes that she is worthy of hugs, kisses, and snoot boops. She is currently in a Foster Home.

TNR Cat #23 Tad (formerly Tilly) released after healing from his surgery, back to his turf with a river view. Good luck Lil brother.

Please use the standing feeder! Do not throw cat food on the ground. It brings in all kinds of wildlife, spreading more disease, and filth!
Edit: cardboard tubes work well too, for sending catfood to the feeder thru the fence.
Also, I apologize for my allergy sounds/bronchitis voice. I'm still getting better.
