Tuesday evening we had our annual Officer Installation meeting, bringing in the new officers for the 2026-2027 Lions year! We also welcomed new member Owen Brown to the club. Donna and Troy Lessman provided another wonderful meal, and lots of fun and laughs were had!

Last week we were honored to host Bethe Ann Hughes, a retired FBI forensic artist. She shared a fascinating presentation on the importance of forensic facial imaging and how art can help solve investigations!

We are always accepting the items on the flyer for the Lions of Illinois Foundation recycling program. You may see a small cardboard box with the Lions logo on the side at First State Bank-Polo and Law Offices of M. Tom Suits to deposit said items. On May 21, we are making a trip over to LIF with what we have so far, so if you have additional donations to the cause we will gladly accept them. We appreciate your assistance with this program!

We would like to thank everyone that contributed to the annual Candy Day fundraising event! Candy Day donations support those who need vision and hearing assistance, and helps fund programs such as Camp Lions, Low Vision Program for Students and the Mobile Hearing and Retinal Screening Unit. Thank you for making a difference in our community!
