We are just 8 hours away from our Darlings taking the field TONIGHT at 6:00 PM in Richfield and only 24 hours away from our Angels stepping onto the diamond tomorrow at 10 AM!

The excitement is building, and if this week's practices were any indication, they are READY. Now it's time to pack the stands, bring the energy, and cheer on Anson softball as tournament play begins!

We were honored to host a special recognition at our park this weekend as Diamond Youth Baseball, and District Director Tate Osborne, honored Mr. David Brewer for his extraordinary service to the game.

For 47 years as an umpire and 12 years as DYB Umpire-in-Chief, Mr. Brewer has dedicated countless hours to helping generations of young athletes grow both on and off the field. We are grateful for his leadership, commitment, and lasting impact on youth baseball.

Congratulations, Mr. Brewer, and thank you for all you have done for Diamond Youth Baseball and the communities it serves. ⚾👏🏆

We are incredibly proud of our Minors All-Star team for finishing as District Runner-Up tonight!

The boys started the evening with a great win over North Stanly, forcing an if-necessary game for the District Championship. They battled hard in Game 2 and never quit, but sometimes the ball just doesn’t find the holes. Despite the outcome, they left everything they had on the field and represented Anson with heart, determination, and sportsmanship.

This team has given us so much to be proud of, and their journey is far from over. Congratulations on an outstanding District Tournament, and good luck as you continue your season in the State Tournament!

What a day for Anson Baseball!

🏆 Congratulations to our Ozone All-Stars on winning the District Championship tonight! We are incredibly proud of this group of young men and the coaches who have poured so much into them. Their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship have been on display throughout this tournament, and tonight they earned the opportunity to continue their journey. Congratulations, Ozone!

⚾ Our Minors team also showed tremendous heart today. After falling to North Stanly earlier in the day, they returned to face South Stanly and found themselves trailing by five runs. Refusing to quit, they battled all the way back and walked it off in the bottom of the 6th inning for an exciting 6-5 victory.

We would also like to congratulate South Stanly Minors on receiving the Sportsmanship Award. It was a well-deserved honor, and they represented their community with class throughout the tournament.
