Six down, one to go!

We had hoped to finish the final two signs today, but after working on the Maine Street sign in full sun and 85ยฐ heat, our volunteers agreed that one sign was enough for the day.

Check out the before-and-after photos below and help us celebrate another project completed. One sign remains!

A special thank you to our friends at Poland Animal Hospital for providing the group with ice-cold beverages to help beat the heat today!

Today is the day! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ

Our volunteers are heading out to complete the final two Welcome to Poland sign gardens, marking the completion of plantings at all seven locations throughout town!

A huge thank you to The Dirt Store for providing the soil and mulch that helped make these projects possible. With supplies loaded and volunteers ready to get their hands in the dirt, we're excited to put the finishing touches on these welcoming community spaces. We can't wait to share the after photos with you!

Because the Maine Street sign is located near our local schools, members thoughtfully chose a collection of native perennials in shades of blue and white to reflect our school spirit while providing lasting beauty and habitat for pollinators. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค

While today's planting is a major milestone, it's only the beginning. We'll return to all seven locations this fall to prepare the gardens for winter and add even more plants, including spring-flowering bulbs that will provide an early burst of color next year. ๐ŸŒท

We've also had several community members ask how they can help. If you'd like to "adopt" a sign location by assisting with occasional watering, weeding, or general upkeep throughout the season, we'd love to hear from you. A little help goes a long way in keeping these gardens beautiful and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, and local businesses for helping bring this vision to life. Together, we're making Poland bloom! ๐ŸŒผ

5 down and 2 to go! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฒ

Our members got to work on the Route 121 sign, and this one took just about every tool in the toolbox. Between litter cleanup, brush removal, piles of pine needles, and tackling invasive plants, we ended up taking out way more than we brought in this time!

The transformation was worth it. Scroll through the photos to see the before and after shots, plus a few close-ups of the native plants that now have the space and conditions to call this area home.

Thank you to everyone who came out and put in the effort to help keep this area looking its best!

Here we go again! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ช

Our members will be hard at work today at the Route 121 sign location as we continue our community beautification efforts. The plan for today includes:

๐ŸŒฑ Removing invasive plants
๐ŸŒฟ Planting native species
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Picking up litter
๐Ÿ‚ Adding a fresh layer of mulch

Speaking of mulch, a huge thank you to our friends at the Dirt Store for supporting this project and helping us make a lasting impact!

We definitely have our work cut out for us at this site. Between the invasive vegetation, damaged trees, and accumulated litter, there's plenty to tackle. Because of the scope of the work, we'll be focusing on just one sign location todayโ€”but we promise it's going to be quite the transformation!

Check out these before photos, and stay tuned for the after pictures later today. We can't wait to show you the results!
