Camp Tall Pines is a lovely and peaceful year round camp on 5 ½ acres of lake front property, surrounded by gorgeous, and extremely tall pine trees. Camp Tall Pines is owned and operated by Special Olympics Maine and offers overnight camping to agencies and schools providing services to persons with intellectual disabilities on a scheduled basis. Overnight facilities include accessible, fully cont
ained, ranch-style cabins, which include kitchen/dining/living room, bathroom, and three bedrooms with three beds in each. In addition to these cabins we also offer two summer seasonal open room cottages with eight beds in each. These cottages each have electricity and a refrigerator. There is a large seasonal kitchen on the grounds and a recreation room. Washers and dryers are provided for your convenience in both the Torch Run cabin and the Miller cabin and also in the small room adjacent to the seasonal kitchen. Camp Tall Pines offers a variety of enjoyable things to do during your stay. We have a private beach for swimming and sunning, and a variety of boats for rides. (Please see rules and regulations) There is a basketball court, swings, bocce court, volley ball, and numerous other activities available. During the winter months you can enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing and ice fishing. Please check local ice fishing regulations) For stormy weather days our rec room offers a variety of indoor games, arts and crafts supplies, videos, foosball and a pool table. The cost per camper is $150 for Monday-Friday session. There is no fee for staff within a ratio of 3 campers to 1 staff. For example a group may send 6 campers and 2 staff which we will house and feed at no cost. However, ratios less than 3-1 will require staff payment at a weekly session rate.
