Circle of Care Point Roberts

Circle of Care Point Roberts Circle of Care has been created to serve the people of Point Roberts, who are in need, by providing assistance to Point Roberts seniors and families.

We are a town of about 1300 people who are blessed to live surrounded by the Salish Sea, amongst soaring old growth trees and sharing a border with our sister city, Tsawwassen. At this point, about 600 of our year-round residents are over the age of 60, and within 5 years over half of us will be over 65. Whereas we live here because it feels like paradise, we have no medical services except for a

part time clinic staffed by a wonderful Nurse Practitioner and some very competent Emergency Medical Techs who work for our excellent volunteer Fire Department. There isn't a physician, a dentist, nor a nursing home/retirement facility. We are a healthy, hardy lot, but sooner or later quite a few of us will be in need of in-home care. Currently, when someone needs help with an injury or an ailment or recuperation from surgery, their only option is to become resident in one of the facilities in Bellingham, two border crossings and an hour away. Seeing "the writing on the wall" and wanting to avert a slow emergency, (which some communities are calling”The Silver Tsunami") a few of us banded together about 18 months ago to organize our community so that we could provide volunteers and professionals to help our seniors and families in need stay here in their homes. We are calling ourselves Circle of Care and we are raising funds for several needs--first of all to establish an educational fund so that local residents can get trained and certified to provide skilled in home care and secondly, to provide financial support for any of our indigent residents who will not be able to afford this service in their homes and finally, to have an emergency fund for hospice care. Your contribution to Circle of Care is tax deductible. Please support us as we support our community. For more information please call 360.945.5222 or email at [email protected]

We're hoping to see you at the Holiday Faire tonight and over the weekend!! Circle of Care Trustees are hosting the bar at tonight's opening event, where you can peruse over 20 local vendors' crafts while sipping on a glass of wine, or bubbly, or a beer, or a cocktail! (our huge thanks to Dee Gough, Queen of Clean, for her sponsorship!) Tomorrow and Saturday, you'll find a delicious lunch of soup and a sandwich on offer at the kitchen window, as well as a Holiday Bake Sale. There you will find delectable holiday goodies (apple pies, cranberry cake, spice cupcakes, sugar and gingersnap cookies, to name just a few!) to snack on while you shop or to take home for your holiday table. Also, there's a raffle to win an adorable Ollie Otter Bakery CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT CAKE! Proceeds benefit The Angel Project. Also, you can collect Circle of Care's Picturesque Point Roberts 2026 calendar if you ordered one, or purchase one of the few we have left. Please come make the season brighter for everyone!

As the crispness of fall approaches, Point Roberts is getting ready to press, play, and party at the 8th Annual Apple Harvest Festival, happening October 3, 4, and 5!
What began 8 years ago as a grassroots effort to pay off a cider press has grown into a beloved fall festival with something for everyone. This year, we’re pulling out all the stops to make it our biggest and most impactful yet—and we need your help to make it happen.
This year’s festival promises to be our biggest celebration yet—a joyful gathering for all ages, a chance to reconnect as neighbors, and an important fundraiser for Circle of Care, our local nonprofit that supports seniors, caregivers, and others in need across the Point.
But here’s what makes this year special: We’re inviting every individual, business, and organization to help create the magic. That’s right—whether you’re part of a club, a nonprofit, or just an inspired individual with an idea, you’re encouraged to plan and host an activity of your own!
🤝 Calling All Creators, Clubs & Community Groups!
This festival isn’t just an event—it’s a community collaboration.
Would your group like to host a craft table, a pie contest, a face painting station, or a seminar on composting, health, or heritage? Are you a local artist, beekeeper, or educator? This is your moment to shine—and to raise funds for your cause if you'd like. Nonprofit organizations are especially encouraged to plan an activity that doubles as a fundraiser for their own missions.
To reserve space, suggest an idea, or ask questions, email: [email protected].
What’s Already Planned
Here’s a sneak peek at some of this year’s confirmed activities:
🍏 Apple Juice Pressing (All Weekend)
The heart of the festival! Bring your own apples—or buy them by the bushel at the event—and watch the cider flow. We’ll be pressing all weekend long with our community press. This community-favorite event is hands-on, family-friendly, and deliciously fun. For your kids, it’s almost as good as Disneyland!
Important Apple Tip:
Collect and store apples now to let them “sweat,” which makes them sweeter and juicier—perfect for pressing. If you’d like a informational sheet about preparing the apples for juicing or if you have trees you’d like gleaned, let us know at [email protected] and we’ll send volunteers over to collect them.
Bring your own jugs or purchase 1-liter containers at the event for just $1 each.
Friday Night Bingo (Oct 3)
A fan favorite returns—with a twist!
Theme: Wild & Wacky Bingo Wear!
Come dressed to impress. Think boas, hats, and wild prints. Prizes for best outfit and best bingo face.
🥧 Apple Pie Table (Saturday)
Circle of Care’s delicious Homemade Apple Pies for sale! Watch ePB newsgroups for more information.
Classic Rock Concert (Sunday Evening)
Dance through the decades with 60s, 70s, and 80s hits in our festival finale concert. Come dressed in your best hippie threads for our Hippie Costume Party! Tickets in advance $20, at the door $25.
Welcome, Delta & Canadian Neighbors!
We warmly invite our Canadian neighbors from Ladner, Tsawwassen, and our Point Roberts enclave communities to join us in celebration. This is a festival for all who love this unique peninsula and its people.
Volunteers Needed
Want to lend a hand? We need help with setup, cider pressing, bingo, kids’ crafts, parking, cleanup and more. No experience needed—just a willingness to serve.
Email: [email protected] to sign up.
Let’s make this year’s Apple Harvest Festival a true expression of Point Roberts’ spirit—collaborative, heartfelt, and full of flavor. Whether you're pressing apples, leading a pet parade, or dancing in bell bottoms, you’re part of what makes this community shine.
Mark your calendars: October 3, 4, 5—Press on, Point Roberts! 🍎
