World Breastfeeding Week is a beautiful time to pause and honor the incredible, challenging, and deeply personal journey of feeding a child. Whether it lasted for a few weeks, months, or years, the experience is a unique thread in the tapestry of motherhood.

It is so much more than just nutrition; it is a quiet language of comfort, a source of solace during those long, middle-of-the-night hours, and a profound way to connect with your little one. It’s the feeling of closeness, the tiny hand resting against your skin, and the silent reassurance that you are their safe harbor.

This journey is often filled with steep learning curves, physical exhaustion, and moments of doubt, but it is also marked by quiet triumphs and a bond that feels like magic. They say the days are long, but the years are short and nowhere is that truer than in the blur of motherhood.

One minute, you’re counting down the days until the newborn phase ends, desperate for a solid stretch of sleep. You’re navigating the endless cycle of feedings, laundry, and the quiet, lonely hours of the night.

It’s a strange, beautiful, and sometimes overwhelming paradox. You’re constantly chasing the next milestone, wishing they’d just learn to sleep through the night or stop needing to be carried; and then, the moment they do, you find yourself missing the very thing you were just ready to move past.

As a mom, I’ve learned that time doesn’t just pass; it accelerates. It’s measured in outgrown onesies, the fading scent of baby shampoo, and the way their hands slip out of yours a little faster every year.

If you’re in the thick of it right now, the messy, loud, exhausting, beautiful thick of it; take a breath. You are building their foundation, one fleeting moment at a time. Hold on to the small stuff, even when the days feel like they’ll never end. Because one day, you’ll look back and realize those long days were actually just the blink of an eye.

Hi, if you’re new here, my name is Lexi and here’s a little bit about me✨

I am a person who thrives on variety and connection, blending a background that is as analytical as it is creative. My path has taken me from the strategic, high-stakes world of Homeland Security—where I earned my master’s degree—to the artistry of the culinary world, and later into the fast-paced, people-focused life of a realtor. Each of these chapters has shaped who I am, teaching me how to analyze situations, create something from scratch, and truly listen to the people I work with.

Today, I’ve poured all of that experience into my most meaningful role yet: being a stay-at-home mom. But I’ve found that my need to build and connect didn’t stop at my own front door. That’s why I founded Tidal Tots Adventures. I wanted to create a space where other moms and their little ones could find the same sense of community and joy that I’ve been seeking. For me, motherhood isn’t just about the day-to-day; it’s about building a village where we can all navigate the beautiful, messy adventure of early childhood together.
