Spring comes to downtown Arnold Ave. Okame Cherry trees are the first to bloom and herald the start of spring. They were planted in 2015 in collaboration between the Point Beach Shade Tree Commission and the borough.

Spring is just around the corner, and the Shade Tree Commission is excited to announce that our nursery has greatly expanded its selection for this year's Big Beautiful Tree buying program. We have added several new varieties, including fruit-bearing trees, all with no price increase from last year.

The stunning Redpoint Maple is back, along with three varieties of Arborvitae, ideal for privacy screening. These evergreens reach heights of about 15 feet, with mature widths ranging from 4–5 feet (Elegantissima) to 8–10 feet (Techney).

Louise Stillufesn participated in a panel discussion on "New Approaches to Community Planting" at the 100Th Annual NJ Shade Tree conference, demonstrating how Fernbrook nursery has enabled local Jersey Shore towns to increase the tree canopy in municipal locations, and engaging homeowners to plant directly on their property.

Hi Locals, the Point Pleasant Beach Shade Tree Commission is again offering its Big Beautiful Tree Program. Field-grown trees of 2-2.5 inch caliper and 8-12 feet tall are priced at wholesale rates of $410. This includes the tree, delivery, professional planting, a gator bag for watering, and a one-year guarantee with adequate watering.

New this year are Container Trees, which are younger, smaller, and attractively priced at $175. This price includes the tree, delivery, professional planting, and a one-year guarantee with adequate watering.

We offer a variety of trees, from larger shade trees to smaller flowering trees, all designed to meet your landscaping and shade needs. Fall is a great time to plant a tree!
