This is a very difficult post and with great sadness we have decided to disband the Poinciana Friends of the Library. With covid and only 5 members, we are all to old to continue the book sales. We will miss all of you but it is the right decision for us. Stay safe....XO

I was told yesterday that the library will not let us keep donations because of covid. We had a friend try to leave boxes for us yesterday. They have already sent some of our books to Hart. We obviously will not be having a book sale in April and they are cancelled until further notice. I am so sorry to report this....

With great sadness we would like you all to know that our friend and member, Anne Marie Winterhalter passed away this morning. She will be sadly missed and the book sales won't be the same without her.

This was our Saturday sale today..March 7th...😥 Where is everyone? We are going to discuss at our meeting this month if we will do Saturdays anymore. This is very sad for all of us who work so hard for the children. So many were upset before because we didn't do Saturdays. Where were you???😥 It was advertised everywhere.

Did you know that if a child reads one book daily it exposes them to 296,600 words. If 5 books are read daily it increases to nearly 1.5 million words.............wonderful....
