Idaho Fish and Game and the Friends of Edson Fichter Nature Area are excited to invite you to the next Nature Talk at the Edson Fichter Nature Area in Pocatello!

We will be welcoming our special guests, Nancy Fichter Dillon and Sarah Fichter Carter (daughters of the late Edson and Ardith Fichter) as well as guest speaker, Erik Bartholomew with Idaho Fish and Game.

𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗞 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗪, 𝗜𝗗𝗙𝗚 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗪𝗲𝗱. 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁. 𝟭𝟲, 𝟲:𝟬𝟬 - 𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠.🦫

Erik Bartholomew is a regional wildlife biologist with IDFG here in the Southeast Region. Erik has a critical role in much of the riparian habitat work happening throughout the region. Most recently, this has included the successful reintroduction of beaver to the West Fork of Mink Creek as well as stream rehab projects in several locations throughout southeast Idaho.

Erik is also a key member of our southeast Idaho bat🦇team that recently deployed several transmitters on hoary and silver-haired bats to learn about their migration patterns.

Erik moved to Idaho in 2017 with his wife and kids, and they are enjoying everything southeast Idaho has to offer.
