AIC Extends Sympathy to the Victims of Christchurch mosques in New Zealand’s shooting, their Families, and the whole Muslim community around the world.

(Washington, D.C. 03/15/2019) – The American Islamic Congress (AIC), first and foremost, extends the deepest condolences to the Muslim community following the shooting that took place today at two different mosques in New Zealand. AIC expresses solidarity with the 49 killed and the victims’ families. AIC vehemently condemns the violent attacks and encourages unity and the promotion of peace in the face of hate crimes.

Unfortunately, religious-based hate crimes are one of many ongoing hate crimes against a specific group of people, across the globe. Now more than ever, AIC is strengthening its commitment to support religious minority groups and condemn violence of all types.
