The U.S. Census Bureau has released a 2025 survey confirming that 31.8% of Idaho’s population holds a bachelor’s degree or higher. In comparison, the state of Utah has a higher level of educational attainment. Of its population, 37.7% hold a bachelor’s degree or higher (Idaho - Census Bureau Profile, n.d.-b).

I believe that gaining a formal education is one of the most important investments anyone can make. Whether it is a vocational, technical, or advanced degree program, education opens doors to meaningful careers that can support you and your family. Gaining a formal education is empowering. It gives you freedom, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Most importantly, the benefits of education extend far beyond the individual; it uplifts your family, strengthens your community, and creates a lasting legacy for future generations.

"The recent winner of the Miss Idaho for America pageant is hosting three benefit piano recitals over the next month. The first two are happening on April 18 and 25 at The Yellowstone Restaurant at 230 West Bonneville Street in Pocatello. Schmutz will be performing from 6-8 p.m. Then on May 30, she’ll be performing at Piano Gallery in Idaho Falls at 11 a.m. "
