It was a great day supporting Fort Hall Elementary's walk to the fire station! They had all the safety measures in place to make it a fun and safe adventure for the kids. Thanks to the Fort Hall Fire Department for the tour and the Fort Hall Police Department for controlling traffic!

Tomorrow is National Walk-to-School Day!

If you live close enough to safely walk to school, tomorrow is the perfect day to give it a try!

Did you know that walking just 1 mile can provide about 1/3 of a child’s recommended daily physical activity? And with this beautiful FALL weather, it’s a great way to start the day!

Grab a friend, enjoy the fresh air, and WALK to school tomorrow!

We're excited to announce that Ridge Crest and Groveland Elementary Schools will have their Walk-at-School Days next week!

Since most of the kids in Blackfoot can't safely walk to school, Southeast Idaho Safe Routes to School is hosting a comic-themed walk around the school grounds everyone can participate in that teaches walking, biking, and crosswalk safety, and being seen on Halloween!!

September Safety Tip: Slow down and expect the unexpected! Children may be walking between vehicles, crossing a driveway, or stepping into your path. Your full attention matters.

Stop at the edge. Look left, right, and left again. Watch for vehicles pulling in or backing out—and don't assume a driver sees you.
