Pocatello Community Charter School is one of our awesome sites! Their mission statement is:
Through the Expeditionary Learning model, Pocatello Community Charter School creates a learning
environment for students to develop a love of learning, think at a high level, work hard to overcome
difficult challenges with no excuses, persist to achieve their personal best relative to previous
performance, seek to improve the world around them, and treat others with kindness and respect. Our
teachers, parents, and community are empowered to enable students to meet these expectations.

Wynter is a student at Idaho State University studying Radiographic Sciences. She does her clinical
rotations at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and loves her time spent there! A fun fact about
Wynter is that if she could live in any book series, it would be Percy Jackson & the Olympians.

AmeriCorps members throughout the state of Idaho gather once a year with Serve Idaho, the
Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, to network and learn from one another. This year
the theme for the Serve Idaho Conference is Commit, Persevere, and Act which is one part of the
AmeriCorps pledge. We can’t wait to meet all the 2023 AmeriCorps members!

This is Brooke’s second year serving with AmeriCorps and she is awesome! She is a physical therapy
student that loves her coffee! If she could only eat one type of food for the rest of her life, she would
choose American food. Thank you Brook for being such an amazing member!

Genesis is a community health organization with locations in Caldwell and Garden City. Their goal is
to provide access to health care and a path to well-being for every person in the community. They
currently have over 200 active volunteers helping them achieve this goal. Learn more at

Mary is a graduate student with the Audiology program at ISU. She has enjoyed the opportunity to
serve her community. She enjoys yellow curry and watermelon. If she could live in any book series,
she would choose Lord of the Rings. Mary is such a good member and is great at supporting her
community members!

St. Vincent de Paul Reentry is centered around assisting in a successful transition from incarceration
back into society for returning citizens. They are located in Boise and offer Pickup Services, Employment

Hey guys! My name is Ethan and I am in the Nursing program at Idaho State University. I have
been working as a Member Advocate for the Idaho HealthCorps AmeriCorps program for about
a month now. I am loving this job and everyone I work with. I help members finish our program
and get their educational award, so if you have any questions about AmeriCorps as we are

Tyler is the bomb.com! If Tyler could live in a show he would pick Avatar the Last Airbender, he
loves backpacking, skiing, and hanging out with his friends. Two years ago he married his high
school sweetheart who is a therapist. Tyler loves getting to learn about rural health and is
aiming to be a doctor in a rural area. Thanks for kicking butt and taking names Tyler!
