We are proud to announce a new pickleball court in Pocahontas! Through the use of a Rotary District Community grant; a substantial gift from Sue Weiskoft in memory of her parents, Cathy & George Shors; and partnerships with the City of Pocahontas, Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce, Pocahontas Hometown Pride, and the Elbert Park committee, funds were accepted and used for this resurfacing project. Thank you to all of these groups! Representative of these organizations are pictured above. Also pictured, Tennis Services of Iowa workers complete tennis and pickleball courts this summer. Pickleball players enjoy this trend-setting sport!

The Pocahontas Area Rotary Club received a grant to fund the third wooden constructed child-size playground equipment for Elbert Park. Former Mayor Dick Gruber served as project manager and worked for the third time with the PAC High School construction class. This is large enough for children to climb on and crawl through. A grand addition to the local park!

Thanks, Terry & Bob Sign Company, for your professional design & installation of the Rotary signage far our recycling trailer. We couldn't be happier with the end product, which wasn't an easy job for you. Removing the old decals, preparing the surface area (both sides and two panels in back), and then applying the two-tone decals. The turn-around time (dropping off & delivery of trailer) was surprisingly quick! We were so fortunate that you did this excellent work for us!
