Join us for an unforgettable evening! We have paired many of Marshall County's Stars with professional dancing partners. All couples have choreographed and rehearsed a special performance and the winner is determined by YOUR VOTES! This is Marshall County's event of the year! It takes place at the luxurious Swan Lake Resort. A delicious buffet will provide a unique and fantastic dinner experience,
while a live auction and dancing entertainment will ensure a wonderful time with all of your friends and colleagues from the communities of Marshall County. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Marshall County Neighborhood Center's primary programs:
Food Pantry - Our Community Food Pantry prepares to serve nearly 400 households each month. Many who rely on the food pantry face other challenges with their health, housing, and general well-being. We strive to meet a variety of those needs- and a healthy assortment of groceries helps to open the door. We use your donations to provide consistent, nutritious food selections to our neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet. Household Development- We believe in giving a "hand-up" to those in need. Each year, we build stronger programming that provides one-on-one interaction between our qualified staff and individual families looking for better support. The families we work with fall into the gaps and don't often qualify for traditional community programs. They work, take care of loved ones, and make hard choices between their basic needs. We encourage development through building skills. We can offer personal budgeting support, comprehensive community referrals, and employability through structured, on-site volunteerism. Your support means we can create a unique safety-net around a family's specific needs, and promote a journey towards self-sufficiency. Seasonal Programming- In addition to our year-round efforts, we see an increased need for help throughout the winter months. This time of year brings bigger household utility bills, seasonal lay-offs from jobs, childcare costs during school breaks, and heavy expectations to provide gifts for the holidays. During this special time of year, we help families by providing extra groceries for holiday meals, new gifts of clothes and toys for children, assistance toward heating bills, and free tax preparation. The combination of the Thanksgiving, Christmas, Energy Assistance, and Tax Preparation Programs means families can prioritize their income on front-line expenses, to keep them stable for the start of a New Year.
