Dr. Maestas & the DreamRide Team are hitting the pavement again from Philadelphia to Plymouth, MA to encourage health, wellness & overcoming obstacles!

It’s no secret that the cost of providing a quality education has increased.It’s also no secret that federal and state aid to school districts like Plymouth has been reduced. Deciding that the current level of funding was just not going to be enough, Plymouth Superintendent, Gary Maestas, Ed.D., had an idea. He would raise money for Plymouth students by cycling from Washington, DC to Plymouth, Massachusetts, while spreading the message of keeping your body active and healthy, and giving birth to the DreamRide. Through DreamRide, Dr. Maestas’ goal is to raise $100,000 for the Plymouth Education Foundation, the premier, non-profit organization established to support and enhance the education of students and citizens of the Town of Plymouth. share the reason why kids should follow their dreams and to encourage healthy living so they could reach their dreams and lead to personal success. Beginning June 5th, Dr. Maestas, accompanied by the DreamRide Team comprised of students, teachers, and volunteers will bike approximately 600 miles from DC to Plymouth over a seven-day period. Along the route, Dr. Maestas and the DreamRide Team will visit schools and YMCA's to share the reason why kids should follow their dreams, to encourage healthy living so they could reach their dreams and lead to personal success. While the primary goal will be to raise funds via sponsorships, the DreamRide has many layers and opportunities for growth and learning.

Introducing…. Dreamride24!

Many of you have been involved in our previous flagship events, including Dreamride, Dreamride 2, and the planning for Dreamride 2020. This summer, we are back and better than ever.

Dreamride24 will feature our largest riding team and an updated New England-based route, allowing us to reach more schools and expand our classroom offerings. We’ve set our sights on visiting 25 schools and YMCAs—twice as many stops as we’ve performed in any previous ride!

Stay tuned for more details about the healthy kids programs we’ll be delivering to communities along the way. We can’t wait!
