As Passover comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the beautiful holiday moments shared across the South Shore.

This Passover, hundreds of families received Shmurah Matzah together with our beautifully designed Passover Handbook, a gift from the Chabad of the South Shore community, helping bring the meaning, joy, and special mitzvah of the Seder into so many homes and hearts.

We were also honored to host a beautiful community Passover Seder, where individuals and families came together to celebrate. For some, it was the very first time in their lives experiencing a Seder, an especially meaningful reminder of what the Seder is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers who went door to door, lovingly delivering these packages with warmth and care. Because of you, the handmade Matzah, the heart of the Seder, reached Jewish homes and tables throughout our community.

For those who weren’t able to join a communal Seder, our “Seder-to-Go” kits helped ensure those who are homebound could experience a meaningful Passover and its spirit of personal freedom.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. May the inspiration and joy of Passover continue to uplift us in the year ahead.

May we indeed merit, “Next year in Jerusalem”!

Due to the expected snowstorm this weekend, we’ve decided to postpone the upcoming concert.

While we were very much looking forward to being together, the safety of our community comes first. We’ll share the new date as soon as it’s confirmed and can’t wait to celebrate together then.

Please stay warm and safe, and wishing everyone a wonderful Shabbat and weekend.

What a beautiful and proud turnout at this year’s Chanukah Menorah lighting at the Hingham Shipyard this Sunday, after a difficult day, when we need to be together and stand proudly and unit with each other! Despite the harsh weather, families and community members came together to celebrate the Festival of Lights, filling the evening with warmth, joy, and festive spirit.

We were honored to be joined by Rep. Joan Meschino, and everyone enjoyed a fun chocolate gelt drop — delighting children and adults alike! The smiles, laughter, and shared celebration made the evening truly inspiring and empowering.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Herb Chambers and the Herb Chambers Foundation for kindly and proudly sponsoring this cherished tradition, and to The Launch at Hingham Shipyard for hosting this wonderful annual event that brings our community together!

Illuminating Darkness with Great Light — Join Us This Chanukah 🕎✨

As we reflect on the challenges and uncertainty of the past few years, the message of Chanukah feels more timely than ever. The Menorah reminds us that even in difficult moments, light not only survives — it grows, spreads, and transforms the world around us.

This year, we’re bringing that message to the South Shore with three beautiful public Menorah lightings, each one an opportunity to stand together, celebrate, and bring more light into our community.

📍 Hingham Shipyard — Sunday, December 14 at 5:30 PM

📍Braintree Town Hall – Monday, Decembr 15 at 5:00 PM

📍 Inaugural Holbrook Town Hall — Wednesday, December 17 at 6:00 PM

📍 Plymouth Rock Menorah Lighting
Sunday, December 21 — 5:00 PM
Across from Plymouth Rock
Featuring Judah the Maccabi + the first-ever light-up Menorah installation at Plymouth Rock!

Each event includes hot drinks, Chanukah treats, chocolate gelt, menorah kits, music, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

Let’s come together, kindle the flames, and turn the darkness of the past into a brighter future filled with hope, strength, and unity.

Everyone is welcome.
