When the captain text you and says, this is the most epic day of the season so far, you have to wonder if it had something to do with the crew. Thanks to volunteer guide Arthur VanderAa forgetting our members out there today. Three citations and personal best for everyone on board. Thanks too Mott Ridge Charters for another great day on the water.

We are glad we can a be a part of this great event. Come see us and cool off by the water.

I was proud to present Kaden Parker with the Mack Williams Memorial Scholarship tonight in Edenton. Mack was a man of great character, humor, and selflessness that freely gave of his time and talent to invest in our youth until we lost him to CoVid. Kaden Parker has been involved in CTO for many years and participated in summer camps, Sportsman’s Nights and Outings. He is an outstanding athlete, marksman on the shooting team, and a great wing shot in the field, as well. Like Mack, Kaden is a man of great character and one Mack would be proud of. Congratulations Kaden!

We had a great Sportman’s Night yesterday at the Evan Family Farm in Washington County. Our members got the chance to do a little fishing, listen to a good devotion, and eat some good fish and hush puppies. A special thanks to Nevis Leary and Jewel Tetterton for coming and talking to the boys about fishing a Bobby Garland rig in Monkey Milk for crappie (speckled perch), and for also cooking some of their wonderful catfish. Cameron Cobb showed us all how to catch crappie with his ā€œlove tapsā€, and the fish whisperer Isaac Ward caught several beautiful largemouth bass.

If you are looking for a great place to camp, check out Evan Family Farm.
