We had a great October Sportsman’s Night. Office Kyle Barkley with NC Wildlife gave us a little refresher on fi***rm and hunter safety. Members had the chance to ask questions on anything from baiting laws to if black panthers are real. Charles Pippin put together another great devotion. We also talked about our upcoming hunting trips for this season.

The rain ended and we decided to head to the s***t range at Hunter’s Pointe. We had another great devotion from Charles Pippin. A huge shoutout to The National R***e Association and their NRA Grant Program for providing us with ammo for this outing and other shooting events. Our seasoned members shot the course, while some of our newer shooters worked and learned on the range.

Thanks to our donors, sponsors, those that have spent money at our banquets, and the Good Lord our chapter was finally able to find a great peace of property to lease. Calling it a great peace of property is certainly an understatement, it is by far some of the most beautiful woods I have ever stepped in. The current landowner’s father had a vision several years ago to create a property with hunting in mind, and now our members are blessed with the opportunity to hunt it. Duck hunting has certainly been our chapter’s passion and what we are known for, but now we will also have opportunities for deer, turkey, and other game.
