Today is , and we once again celebrate our neighborhood wildlife.

3 facts about elephants (that kinda sound like Imara House, our Imara moms and kids).

1. Elephants live in close family groups. Elephants form strong emotional bonds with other members of their herd. They’re strongly social animals and will rest for longer if another elephant is also resting nearby.

2. Elephants are individuals. Each elephant has their own individual personality. Their personality traits influence their social role within the herd and even how they try to solve problems.

3. Elephants are playful. Elephants love to play, and not just as youngsters. Fully-grown elephants throw water into the air, roll on the ground, and even chase other animals simply for fun.

Today is and Imara is blessed to have our home in the backyard of Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

At Kenya's Ol Pejeta Conservancy, about 72 lions thrive across six resident prides. Conservation efforts use GPS tracking collars, dedicated monitoring, and careful translocations to balance predator protection with safeguarding critically endangered rhinos and local livestock.
