Last night was about so much more than a gala. It was about community, connection, courage, and creating space for survivors and families to feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Seeing so many people come together in support of the mission of Fiercely Embraced was incredibly meaningful. Every conversation, every smile, every story shared, and every person who showed up reminded me why this work matters.

Awareness is important, but action is what creates change.

At Fiercely Embraced, we believe every survivor deserves more than survival. They deserve safety, healing, empowerment, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

This October, we are launching our Empower & Rise $10,000 Fundraising Campaign to support individuals and children affected by domestic violence and post-separation abuse.

Your donation will help us expand our educational programs, provide essential resources, strengthen survivor advocacy, and work toward our vision of safe housing for families.

As we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I want to take a moment to reflect on a significant milestone in the journey of Fiercely Embraced.

In October 2024, Fiercely Embraced had the honor of receiving the State of Minnesota’s Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month Proclamation, issued by Governor Tim Walz and personally presented to me by Makenzie Nolan, a member of the Governor’s staff.

This was an incredibly meaningful moment, not only for me as the founder of Fiercely Embraced but also for the mission that drives our organization every single day.

Domestic violence is not just a private matter. It is a community issue that affects individuals, children, and families across every background. And for many survivors, the abuse does not end when the relationship does.

At Fiercely Embraced, we remain committed to supporting survivors, educating our communities, advocating for systemic change, and bringing greater awareness to domestic violence and post-separation abuse.

As we observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2026, this proclamation serves as a reminder that awareness must lead to action. Every survivor deserves to be heard, every child deserves to feel safe, and every family deserves the opportunity to heal.

I am grateful for this recognition and for everyone who has supported Fiercely Embraced along the way. Our work is far from over, and our commitment to creating lasting change remains stronger than ever.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜
At Fiercely Embraced, we believe every individual and child deserves to live a life free from fear, violence, and control.

Domestic violence doesn’t always leave visible scars. It can take many forms, including emotional, psychological, financial, and physical abuse. For many survivors, the abuse doesn’t end when the relationship does. Post separation abuse is a reality that deserves greater awareness, recognition, and action.

Throughout October, we stand alongside survivors, honor those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence, and reaffirm our commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse.

Through education, advocacy, and compassionate support, Fiercely Embraced is working to empower survivors, strengthen families, and build a future where safety is a right, not a privilege.
