Many people believe abuse ends when a relationship ends.
For many survivors, it doesn’t.
Post-separation abuse is a pattern of behaviors used to maintain power, control, and manipulation after a relationship has ended. It can show up through legal battles, financial abuse, harassment, intimidation, smear campaigns, and the use of children as tools of conflict.
The effects reach far beyond the survivor. Children, families, schools, workplaces, healthcare providers, and entire communities can be impacted.
Awareness is the first step toward change.
When we understand post-separation abuse, we can better support survivors, protect children, and create systems that recognize what many families are experiencing behind closed doors.
Healing is possible.
Freedom is possible.
You deserve both.
