The previously named Cuba Libre restaurant is now Viva Cuba Restaurant 603 !!

They are still participating in our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Dine Out campaign, and are serving their Empower-Mint and Lavender Lemonade cocktails all through October! 🍸💜 Stop in and try them! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Voices!

Though they have a new name, Viva Cuba continues to make delicious and authentic Cuban food, and, continues to stand with survivors 💜

We want to share some important news with all our customers and our community.

Due to an issue related to the trademark of our current name, Cuba Libre Restaurant will be changing its name to Viva Cuba Restaurant.

We want to make one thing very clear: ONLY OUR NAME IS CHANGING — EVERYTHING ELSE STAYS THE SAME! We’ll continue to have the same team, the same authentic Cuban flavors, the same food made with love, and the same hospitality you know and enjoy.

This change doesn’t change who we are or the commitment we have to each and every one of you. We’re still the same restaurant, with the same passion for Cuban food and culture and the same desire to make you feel at home.

Today is Indigenous People's Day, and the Voices Against Violence main office is closed.

Though our office is closed, our advocates are still working hard to provide a sense of safety and a path forward for survivors.

For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, MegaPrint donated purple ribbons car magnets for our local police departments saying, "[insert town name] PD Stands with Survivors." Voices will be distributing these ribbons for police departments to place on their cruisers so that community members know that their local police department is a safe harbor.

From creating amazing outreach materials to providing elegant decorations for our annual Ball, MegaPrint has supported Voices' mission to break the cycle of violence within our community as a Community Partner for years.

"At MegaPrint, we believe every voice deserves to be heard. We support Voices Against Violence and the important work they do to provide hope, resources, safety, and a voice for those who need it most," said owner, Tim Corbitt.

When asked what being a Community Partner with Voices means to him, Tim said: "As a local business, we believe being a part of our community means standing up for one another. Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and help build a community where everyone feels safe, heard, and respected."

Thank you to everyone who attended the Clothesline Project and Candlelight Vigil yesterday in Plymouth Common. We at Voices greatly appreciate that members of this community could take time out of their days and not only stand with survivors, but learn about Voices and how they can help people around them.

Over 132 people and 12 dogs attended the events last night, all with purple ribbons representing awareness of domestic violence; it was a great turnout! Athletic teams from PSU came to show their support as well, even helping with take down of the decorations. It was heartwarming to see the leaders of PSU showing their support for Voices' mission to break the cycle of violence and showing their classmates that they stand for safety and healing on their campus.

This Thursday is an eventful day!

From 12-6PM, Voices will be hosting the Clothesline Project. Attendees are encouraged to decorate one of our shirts and see how domestic violence effects our community.

At 6PM, we will begin the Candlelight Vigil, honoring those who have lost their lives to domestic violence. There will also be speakers describing their first-hand experiences and how they've reshaped their lives.
